Day 2: We saw more of the bus system and made it to Tarpon Springs.
(Amber) So we were up and ready for another adventure today! We woke up and ate another amazing breakfast at our hotel. Then, we headed out for another bus trip...quite confident that we had figured out the whole bus idea. (It actually may have been smart to do some practicing in a smaller town first, like Cedar Rapids...) However, we stood at the bus stop and watched one bus after another go by, without seeing the bus that we actually wanted. Eventually, we got sick of waiting and hopped on the next bus that went by. We tend to do that when we get sick of waiting... We decided to take a couple of different busses to get where we wanted to go; we'll just call it "the scenic route". We finally got to Tarpon Springs and some

(Kally) Once we got to the sponge docks we checked out the area. It is filled with all sorts of shops that sell handmade soaps, sponges, trinkets, etc. There were also lots of Greek restaurants and bakeries. We decided to try the gyros at Hellas. They were delicious!!

(Amber) The bus ride back home was a lot better than the initial trip. The bus driver was friendly, the other riders were, um, great (and fully clothed) and we made it back without a hitch. The only other downfall to Tuesday was that Kally is 2 for 2 on days with broken items. Yesterday...shoe. Today...beach bag. Tomorrow...who knows?! We made a stop at Target to get a new bag and try on a few hats, then we made our way back to the hotel for a little pool time.
Tomorrow's plan is to make it to Clearwater Beach and Pier 60. Tune in for more tomorrow night! :)
